_ Mr and Airs James Ij. Hay returned to Wellington last night by the Rimutaka. Mr Hay was the pioneer New Zealand V.M.C.A. secretary, leaving with the Fourth Reinforcement by the-Willochra. in April of 1915. He organised 'the Y.M.C.A. work m the Esbokia Gardens, Cairo, where he made a host of friends. ■ When the New Zealand troops left Egypt for N ranee, Mr Hay was transferred to the division. 'He was organising secretary i* charge of the whol© of the New «!• land work with the division in Franc* until December last, when he was transferred to London os supervising «ecr*taxy, Mr Hay has a splendid record of service with the division. Mr* Hay Will be better remembered ‘by tho “diggers’' as Sister” Gunn, of tho Brookenburst Hospital. After a brief holiday Mr Hay will resume control of the Wellington branch df the Y.M.C.A,
