WANG AMU, May 23. The Supreme Court sitttings opened to-day, Mr Justice Chapman presidingEight criminal charges against sevenpersons were set down for trial. Percy I'liomanson pleaded guilty to breaking and entering. Prisoner is a youth, 20 years of age, already under a term ot probation. He was ordered to come up for sentence at the next sitting of the Supreme Court. John Spain pleaded railty to three charges of forgery and uttering valueless cheques at Taihape. Ho was also up for sentence for a similar offence. He was sentenced to X! months’ imprisonment.
