A velocipede, stolen from the Levia railway station yard on Monday, has been discovered at Tokomaru, where another one was taken and ridden to Lift* ton.
Mr J. C. Neill lias been appointed president oi the Horowhenua fruitgrowers* Association. Mr H. Newport is vicepresident, and Mr J. fi. Wilson secretary. At Levin on Wednesday Miss Eva Marion Death was married to Mr Howard Spencer Kemp.
A start will be made on Monday to improve the Mt. Hector track on the 'fararuas. Trees have fallen in places and made travellins difficult.
