PADEREWSKI
ATTEMPT ON HIS LIFE FAILS

The "New York Herald's" Warsaw correspondent states that an unsuccessful attempt was made to assassinate M. Paderewski, President of Poland, by two Bolshevists, who drew revolvers and attempted to fire at close range. The crowd prevented thom from shooting, and afterwards beat the Bolshevists till they were nearly dead before the polioe arrived %o rescue them.
