KING'S ADMIRALTY MEDAL
♦ ■ ! PRESENTATION AT AUCKLAND. Press Association. AUCKLAND, May 25. The King's Admiralty medal has been awarded to Charles Glidden, a member of the Aurora expedition to tho Antarctic, and was formally presented to him by the Hon. T. M. Wilford at tho offices of the Federated Seamen's Union. Mr "Wilford stated ho would say no more than quote tho words of the official records, which stated: "Now began a fight with death which called forth qualities of self-denial, endurance, and comradeship worthy of the highest traditions of tho polar service." For those attributes, .possessed by Glidden, ho had received this high honour.
