• WHAKA.TANE, "May 24. Tho Urewera, native lands are being inserted on the Whakatane county valuation roll, and will increase the ratable value of the county from £1,000,000 to £1,500,000. It is intended, if the natives do not pay the rates, that judgments shall be obtained and registered with the Native fjand Court for action when natires dispose of their land.
