NEW COAL MINE
CABINET AGREES TO DEVELOPMENT AT NINE MILE POINT.
Mr- J. T. M. Hornsbr, M.P. for the W 7 airarapa, yesterday received the following letter from the Acting-Pre-mier, Sir James Allen:—"I only received your letter of the 10th inst., supporting the from the Runanga Borough Council (Grey district), urging the Government to proceed with the development of the Seven to Nine>Mile, ,poal, : 'seam. I have now" pleasure in informing ydu that Cabinet has agreed, to /the establishment of a new colliery .near. Nine Mile Point, and steps will .be taken to put in hand the construction of the necessarv branch railway as early as possible."
