THOMAS MOORE ANNIVERSARY

The competitions which ore hold annually in conjunction with the Thomas Moore Annual Festival, and which were to have taken place at the Town Hall, will bo held in the Sydney street schoolroom on the day originally fixed—namely, Saturday next. The finals, which will take place in the evening, should draw a large attendance. The Thomas Moore concert will take place at tho Town Hall next Wednesday evening. A splendid programme of musical and elocutionary items has been arranged. The winners of the various compeidton items will appear and supply the first half of the programme. The remainder will be contributed to by the leading talent of Wellington.
