CHANGES AT HEADQUARTERS

GENERAL RICHARDSON ASSUME CONTROL. A number of important changes iff the’ personnel of the N6w Zealand Staff Coups and the New Zealand Medical Corps are announced in the current “Gazette.” It is notified that the following ap pointment at Headquarters has been instituted, with effect from May. sth, 1919: —General Officer in Charge of Administration, Headquarters, :N.Z. Military Forces. It is also announced that the appointments of Major-Gene-ral Sir Alfred Robin, K.CjM.G., C. 8., (New Zealand Staff Corps, Quarter-master-General to the Forces), and Colonel R. W.‘ Tate, C.B.E. (Auju-tant-General to the Forces) haye_ been cancelled, and the duties pertaining to them' absorbed into the appointment of the General Officer in Charge ot Administration. It is further announced that Lieu-tenant-Colonel G. S. Richardson, C. 8., C.M.G., C-8.E., p.s.c., g. (temporary Brigadier-General in N.Z.E.F.), has been appointed colonel, receiving accelerated promotion for specially good service in ■ the New - Zealand Expeditionary Force, with effect from May 6th, 1919; also that he has been- appointed General Officer in Cbarge of Administration, Headquarters, New Zealand Military Forces, with: the rank of Brigadier-Geffera-1 as from original ' date - of ‘'appointment in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force (December 20th, 1915). - - : The announcement is gazetted that Major-General R. S. F. Henderson, C. M. 8., K.H.P., A.M.S., Royal Amy Medical Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Director-General of Medical Services, with effect from March 28th, 1919;' and that' Lienten-ant-Ookmel D. J. McGavin, C.M.G., D. M.D., F.R.0.5., Eng., is appointed Director-General of Medical Services, and granted the temporary rank of Brigadier-General whilst sg employed, with effect from May SU, 1919.
