MORE SOLDIERS’ VOTES CONTINUANCE MAJORITY. 97KJ. The results of the voting of soldiers on the transports Arawa and Carpentaria, on the special licensing poll, were announced as under by the Hon. T. M Wilford, Minister for Justice, yeste day: CARPENTARIA. Continuance Prohibition **9 Continuance majority... 396 ARAWA. Continuance Prohibition Continuance majority... 443 Tho position now stands as follows; Civilian Vote. Continuance 232,045 Prohibition k40,/0i) Prohibition majority 13,055 Soldiers’ Vote. Continuance 30,854 r rohibit ion 7,467 Continuance majority 23,387 Combined Vote. Continuance 262,803 Prohibition 253,167 Continuance majority 5,732 Out of a total vote of 520, < 54, the number of informal votes to date is stated as 4688, or little more than .0 per cent. At the Parliamentary general election in 1914, there were eoofe informal votes cast out of a total vot# of 521,525, or just over 1 per cent.
