BAINES—In loving memory of my dear brother, Walter Earnest, who died of wounds somewhere in France on Slay 20th, 1918.

A hero who will ever be His country’s boast and pride, He shouldered his gun in honour's cause, And in the battle he fell

He has borne Ins cross, he has gained

his crown. Though he T-es in a far-off grave. And we think of his life a duty done, Manly, unselfish and bravo

—lnserted by his loving sister and brothers, Melrose and Baines.
