The vessel is duo back here on Sunday from the Taranaki port. The Manaia (ex Eotoiti), which has been undergoing her annual overhaul and survey at Auckland, resumed running to Whangarei on Monday. The Clansman, which has been relieving the Manaia, was to go back into the northern running yesterday, and the Aupouri, which has been relieving the Clansman, will now relieve the Wakatere while undergoing overhaul and survey at Auckland. The Auckland City Council's trawler Simplon. which has been mine-sweeping on the New Zealand coast for some considerable time, has been released from service, and arrived at Auckland from Wellington late on Saturday. It is understood she will now resume her former work, trawling in the Hauraki Gulf. The steamer John was to leave Wanganui last night for Nydia Bay to load timber for Lyttelton. The Kaikoura is to finish coaling at Wellington at midday to-day, and will then sail for London via Panama.

The Karu is not expected to arrive at Wellington until to-morrow from Lyttelton, and she is fixed to sail at i p.m. on Friday for New -Plymouth, taking cargo. The Mapourika. is to leave Auckland to-morrow afternoon for Wellington, where she is due on Sunay morning, 'llie vessel will sail from Wellington early next week with cargo for Auckland. The Ngahere, due at Wellington about the end of th? week with produce from Timaru and Lyttelton, Is to proceed from here to Greymouth to load coal for Gisborne and Tokomaru Bay. The Corinna has been delayed at New Plymouth by bad weatheP, and is not expected to reach Wellington until to-mor-row morning. The vessel is to sail tomorrow night for Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru.

The Kowhai left Wellington yesterday for Greymouith. without the barquentine lima which it was originally intended she would tow to that port. The. weelfcher, however, was unfavourable, and the lima will await an opportunity to proceed to the We* Coast port. NIKAE AND KAITOA. Bannatyne and Company advise that the Nikau, which has been undergoing an overhaul at Nelson, is due at Wellington to-morrow morning. After landing her passengers she will immediately go to the patent slip to complete . her overhaul. The Nikau will leave Wellington at 2 p.m. on Saturday, in her usual running, for Nelson. The Kaitoa on arrival at Nelson on Saturday from Wellington will lay up for her overhaul. - REMTJERA FEOM LONDON. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the liner Remuera will rot arrive back at Wellington until June 6th from Timaru. The vessel's departure from Wellington for London via Panama has been fixed for June 10th. WESTMORELAND DELAYED. The N.Z. and African Company advises that the liner Westmoreland has been delayed in loading at the Bluff owing to. rain. The vessel, however, is expected to eail to-night for Wellington, where eho is expected on Friday morning. The Westmoreland is now timed to sail from Wellington on the 27th inst. for Liverpool via Panama. SAMAR BERTHED. The four-masted schooner Samar, which arrived in the stream at Wellington early on Sunday evening from San Francisco, berthed at the Clyde quay wharf at 3 p.m. yesterday, having been granted a clean bill of health by the Port Health Officer. The vessel, which comes to the agencv of the Vacuum Oil Company, has a cargo of case oil and timber to put out at this port. The Samar left San I'rancisco on March 7th, and had fine weather and fair winds till crossing the Line on the fifteenth dav out, 'in longitude VZG west. A fortnight of calms and light airs ensued, followed by fair winds, which lasted till the schooner was north cf North Cape. A course was set down the coast, and when to the northward of White Island on May Ist head winds wore encountered, which necessitated the schooner beating her way southward. White Island was sighted on May llth, and Bast Cape was passed on May 18th. Calms and light winds followed till rearing Capo Palliser when a fair breeze vas met with, and the Cape was roundet, on May 17th. The Samar sailed into the stream on Sunday evening and dropped anchor at 7 p.m.

The Samaria a typical Yankee fourmasted schooner, about 18 years old, owned by Wolf and Kirchmann, of Pan Francisco. She has not visited Wellington previously, although she has brought a cargo to Auckland. Captain Marcus Asmussen is in command, and his mates are Messrs C. R. Moller (first?) and O. Edwards (second). After discharge at Wellington the Samar will go to Levuka to load copra for San Francisco.

The steainer Carpentaria, v.ith troops from London, arrived in the stream at Lyttelton about 8.30 on Saturday night, and, beiup declared a clean ship, was berthed at 7 a.m. on Sunday morning at No. 6 wharf. The vessel will be loaded at Lyttelton undet th<* auspices of the New Zealand Shiwpins Company. QUEEN OX' 1 THE SOUTH GONE. The wrecked the coastal steamer Queen of the South .which went on to a reef near Cape Campbell on tho 10th inst., ha* disappeared. Mr G. Allfort, secretary of the Marine Department, received a telegram yesterday morning from the principal keeper at Cape Campbell lighthouse, stating that the vessel broke amidships on Monday night, and completely disappeared. No wrockuge had so far come ashore. Heavy seas have been reported northward of Banks Peninsula, and these evidently wrought havoc with the wreck. ARAWA DUE MONDAY. The Shaw, Savill and Albion, Company advises that the Arawa will not leave Auckland until Saturday for Wellington, where she is due next. Monday with part cargo, from London to put out here. The vessel will sail from Wellington on the following Thursday for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers to complete discharge. The Arawa will subsequently load at Port Chalmers. Lyttelton. and Wellington. The vessel's departure from Wellington for London via Panama has been postponed till June 17th. TUTANEKAI AT AUCKLAND. The Government steamer Tutanekai returned to Auckland with the GovernorGeneral from the coast shortly after niid(lay oa Sunday, and berthed at the Queen's wharf. After leaving Auckland on Wednesday evening Bhe visited VVhangarei, Tauranga, and Thames. At the latter port she stayed all Saturday night, leaving for Auckland on Sunday morning.
