Crowded attendances were recorded, yesterday afternoon and evening ai the King's Theatre, when Bruce BaimsTather\ drama "The Better 'Ole" was shown in a motion-picture version. The irresistible humour of the famous cartoonist' isTfernbodied in one oT tne" r mosf amusing films imaginable. One_ been the three principals, Ole Bill, Alt and Bert as though tbev had stepned ont of a' Bairnsfather sketch. The escapades of these heroes provoke frequent roars of laughter. There is a realistic- touch in" the action of the play that lends a special interest,'-and the plot is develooed with artistic skill. Mr R. H. Meates's song "Up From Somerset," proves an enjoyable introduction to the film. The orchestral items are admirably perform-ed"-by a capable ''coriibTriatiori'■ under direction of Mr L. I).
