WEATHER PROSPECTS
(By the Dominion Meteorologist.) Present indications (5 p.m. yesterday) are for easterly gales northward of liawhia and East Cape, and moderate lo strong and increasing south-east winds elsewhere. Expect cold and changeable conditions generally, with rain probable northwards of Gisborne and Kawhia. The barometer has a falling tendency in the north and a rising tendency in the south.
