SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY
A concert was given by Mrs E. Patterson to a large gathering of seamen at the Sailors’ Friend Socioiy on Tuesday. All the following were encored ;—Mrs Patterson, the Misses Monkmah, J. Lewis, McKean, R. Clapp, and Messrs Armstrong, Ridding, Vincent, and Colven. The Misses R. Clapp, j. Lewis, Griffiths, and McKean were at the piano. Increased shipping has meant largely increased attendances on Sundays and week days, and a greater need for help, for which tho missionci”(Mr Moore) pleaded.
