After several hours’ discussion, the Federal Council and the Federated Seamen’s Union decided upon a definite course of. action regarding the seamen’s dispute, and the- formulation of a policy regarding their actions'in'the next-. forty-eight hours. Folio-wing on the. .announcement by the. Federal Council, the Seamen’s Union has arrived at a definite decision regarding the calling of strike of seamen. It is reported that the crews of ships in port will strike to-night, but the officials state that the decision will not bo published until they have had an opportunity of meeting the ineif.
