CLERK OF PARLIAMENT
MR A. F. LOWE APPOINTED
Mr A. F. Lowe, clerk to the Ho',(so of Representatives, has been appointed to succeed Mr Leonard dunce,, on the latter’s retirement. ‘ Howiff, however, remain as Clerk of the House until after the next session, and in Die meantime me o -her position will be filled by Mr A. T. Bothamley (clerk Assistant of the Council. ;\ir. loivo entered the service of the House as an extra clerk ‘ in 1835, and has risen through all the grades of the service. In 1915 lie was appointed Clerk of the House on the retirement of Mr Henry Otterson, C.AI.G. He has gone through forty sessions during the time he has been ou the Parliamentary staff. Although no announcement has yet been made as to Mr Lowe’s successor, it is generally understood that Mr E. W. Kane, the present Clerk’s Associate, will be appointed Clerk of the House of Representatives.
