Tlie Austrian Treaty is similar to the German on its general lines. It deals with the League of Nations, defines the boundaries of Gcrman-Aus-tria, abolishes conscription, reduces the army to a volunteer police force, requires the surrender munitions and artillery, and most of the navy. The Hungarian frontier fortifications must be reduced. The economic provisions are easier than those for Germany, in view of the break up of the, AustroHungarian Empire.
