LONDON WOOL SALES. The Loan and Mercantile Agency Company has received the- following cablegram from its London house under date Mav 7th The wool sales opened yesterday. Fine crossbreds 5 per cent dearer, medium unchanged, coarse easier. Market firm for combing merino; irregular I for faulty sorts. TALLOW SALES. The Loan and Mercantile Agency Company has received the following cablegram from its London house under date May Bth :—Tallow —Fine mutton X 4 Ss per owt, good beef £4 per cwt, mixed X 3 13s, good demand. ADDINGTON MARKET. Press Assoolation. CHRISTCHURCH. May 14. At the Addington market there were large entries of stock in almost all departments. Prices generally were easiei for fat stock. Store sheep met with fair inquiry at late rates. Fat sheep and fat lambs were down about 2s per head from the previous week’s prices. Fat cattle wore also much easier. Thqpo was a decline in the value of fat pigs, but stores sold at the previous week’s rates. Store Sheep—Two-tooth ewes 14s 2d to 23s lid. four and six-tooth ewes 18» Cd to 225. elx and eight-tooth owes lls 7d to I6s 9d, poorer sorts 4s 6d -to lls, twotooth wethers 15s 5d to 235, four and sixtooth wethers 22s Id, ewe lambs 10s Id to 16s Id, wether lambs lls 9d to 12s 4d, mixed sax lambs 8s 7d to 10s.
