The following appointments 1 promotions and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the New Zealand Staff Corps and Territorial Force have been approved:— APPOINTMENTS. . Major (temn. lieutenant-colonel) D. Colquhoun','D.S.O., 14th (South Otacro) Regiment, ceases to be attached Tor duty at Headquarters. Otago Military District, and relinquishes the temporary rank of lieutenant-colonel. Lieutenant L. G. Ashton Unattached List (b). General List, relinquishes tile appointment of attesting officer under tlie Military Service Act. PROMOTIONS. RESIGNATIONS AND TRANSFERS. ■ New Zealand Staff Corps.—Lieutenant H. O. Dyer resigns his commission. Stk (South Canterbury - ) „ Mounted (Miles.—2nd Lieutenant (temp.) H. B. S. Johnstone resigns his commission. I 3rd (Auckland) Regiment.—Captain JJ. F. Ewen is transferred to the Reserve of Officers.

Coast Defence Detachment.—Lieutenant A. L. Donniston is transferred to tho fte-servc of Officers. 4th (Otago) Regiment).—2nd Lieutenant A. S. Hart is transferred to the 9th (Haivke's Bav) Regiment.

9th (Hawke's Pay) Regiment.—Captain (temp.) E. V. Hudson resigns his commission. 2nd Lieutenant A. Straohan Hart from the 4th (Otago 1 ) Regiment to he 2nd lieutenant.

14th (South Otngo') Regiment.— Major D. Colquhoun, D. 5.0., is posted to the Reserve of Officers (temporary; with tho rank of li"iitenantoolonel. ARMY SERVICE CORP S. No. 4 Company.—2nd Lieutenant (temp.) G. S. Remington from the Unattached List (b) to be 2nd lieutenant (temp.). Motor Service Corps, Auckland Section.—Lieutenant J. .A. Thomson resigns his commission. Chaplains* Department.—The Ivev., S. W. Currie, chaplain to the Forces, 3rd Class, retires, with permission "to retain hjs rank and wear tile prescribed uniform. The Rev. J. S. Ponder, chaplain to tho Forces, 4th Class,' is retired. Tho undermentioned chaplains to the Forces 4th Class, performed the duties of chaplain in a New Zealand Expeditionary Force training camp:—The Rev. H. A. Sharp, from Augntfr loth, 1918; to" April" 16th, IM9. Tho Rev. J. T. Taylor from October 29th, 1918,' to November 7th, 1918.

Army Nursing Service.—Staff Nurse E. Sw'ayne- to be sister. Masseuse E. M. A. Nelson to be staff nurse. Tho undermentioned are struck off tho strength.of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force and nested to the retired list:—Sisters R. j" Mirams, J.- Cormnck, A. Ruckley, A.R.R.C., M. AlIcvne, A. C. Westoby. and Staff Nurse Tilly. The undermentioned are posted |to the Retired List: —Staff Nurses Elsie Milstead, Owen Johnson and Agnes Marv Burgess. Tnattached List (b). — 2nd Lieutenjant R,. Gardner from the 17th (RuaIhineV Regiment to be 2nd lic'tenant. 2nd Lieutenant (temp.) G. S. Remington is transferred to the New Zcalai.d Army Service Corps. 2nd Lieutenant (temp.) W. Gilbert resigns his commission. W. P. Dunplry to he 2nd lieutenant (on probation). - Unattached List (,b) General List.— Lieutenant (temp.) A. Tyndall relinquishes the appointment 'of "' ramp works engineer officer in Trentham camp on the staff of the Director of Railways and Works and the temporary rank of lieutenant. Lieutenant G. S." Moffat is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force and is /attached for duty at General Headquarters.
