Owing to the New Zealand restrictions in connection with tho passenger traffic, from Australia, Huddart-Par-ker's steamer Rivorina has been withdrawn from tho New Zealand trade. Arrangements have been made for tho vessel to take up the Sydney to Hobart service, taking cargo only.
The "Wellington East branch .of tho Labour party, at a meeting last night, passed a ■ resolution calling attention to the unsatisfactory state of the rolls used at the municipal election, and urging that in future the samo rolls, with necessary boundary limitations, bo used for both Parliamentary and municipal elections. If this cannot bo arranged, the branch suggests that the duty of enrolment for municipal purposes bo undertaken by the City Council.
Another member of the crew of tho Manuka died at the quarantine station on Sanies Island at 0.10 a'm. yesterday. Tho fifth victim out of .eighteen putienta is John Wall, a fireman, aged iwcnty-fdght years, who joined the vessel at Sydney. The deceased is to bo buried this morning. The Hov. Father Duignan will officinte at the graveside. There were only five patients on tho island last night, two of whoni aro convalescent. All the remaining "contacts" were released from quarantine yesterday.
