POSITION AT AUCKLAND. Press Association. '■ AUCKLAND, May 13. A report that the Public Works Department had informed the Auckland office' of the Labour Department that it required no moro men at present was referred to-day to Mr C. Lightfoot, officer in charge of the local branch of tho Labour Department. Mr Lightfoot stated that his bureau was in the habit of referring tho men who applied for employment to tho officers of the Public Works Department. About a week ago the bureau was notified by the Publio Works Department that it was full up, and did not require any more men for tho present.
