Sir, —I suggest some points for the consideration of the r.ew council:—(l) The Labour members 'to be represented on such committees as they desire; (2) the immediate completion of the tunnel to connect the Urongo-Orongo stream with the Wainui-o’-mata dam; (3) the prevention for the future of one officer holding more than one position and no officer to be allowed to do any outside work during his o ce hours: (D attention at once to the sanitary condition of the city; (5) the complete cleansing of the business streets of the city before 8 o’clock a.m.; (6) the immediate completion of the duplication of the tram, line from Wellington road to Duncan terrace; (7) the complete renovation of the tramway line; (8) the timing of the cars so as to prevent the constant delays on both sides of the tunnel. The congestion there is worse now than before the line to Lyall Bar via Constatb'e street was opened; (9) foremen appointed to see that the men do their work honestly; (10) ' the prevention of motor-cars runing through the main streets of the city tut more than ten miles an hour, each motor-car to have a proper speedometer, so as to show rate of speed just prior to stopping. For a first offence a fine of not less than JEI. for a second deprivation of the license; (11) the proper formation, renovation, and keeping in order of the main streets of ithe city and to the suburbs. It is high time that the dumping of large-sized metal on to hard ground in dry weather was stoppetl; (12) the construction of the chief streets in the business part of the city In the same manor as Panama street; (13) children of either sex not to bo allowed a seat when, there is not a vacancy for a grown person. All long distance fares to have priority over single section fares and a minimum fare of twopence in rush hours, 4.30 to 6.30 p.m.; (14) a special committee of three as an outlaying districts committee, and who will atend to 'the interests of those localities.
