“A DISGRAE TO OUR CIVILISATION.” When addressing the Grand Jury at the opening of the criminal session yesterday, the Chief Justice remarked on tho fact that the list to be dealt with contained eight sexual cases out of a total of twenty. “There are,” he said, “among the sexual charges a number of cases which are a disgrace to our civilisation. There seems to be an unusual crop of them for Wellington district.”
