Speaking of VT. S. Percy’s appearance in London, an English paper says: Thn hit of the evening, from an acting point of view, was mads by. _W. S. This sort of enthusiasm is rather apt to prejudice an aud'enec against its object, hut Mr Perry’s personality at once' found favour, and by the "end of the evening the entire house had- I taken him to its heart. His methods are ~a little similar to those of Mr "W. Berry, and like that celebrity, he can botll sing and dance as well ns nlay the fool. His make-up suggested .iHcawbcr. Ho is certainly a notable addition to the very limited band of comedians who are really funny. Every prudent l man carries "XAEOL” in his vest pocket.
