IN consequence of the continued dry weather and the threatened shortage in the Water Supply, the Mayor requests that Householders will refrain from watering their gardens by moans of hoses, even though the water is registered by meter, and also from the use of plunge baths, using shower baths instead. The Mayor desires to notify the public that unless the strictest economy 1» exercised by them in regard to the use of water, there is every likelihood of a very serious shortage in the supply should the rainy season still continue to hold off.
