There was perfect weather, and an inusually large crowd. Results:— MAIDBN" HANDICAP, Bis furlongsPetty Ethel, 7.13, 1; Monocrat, 9,2; Ctiroa, 8, 3. Also started—Lombardy 8.9, Vexation 8.5, Mavourneen 8.2, Delavaiite 8, Chesline 7.13, Alys 7.13, Mama 7.12, Dina. 7.12. The winner placed the result beyond doubt from the rise of the barrier and gained the verdict by three lengths. Time, lmin 18sec.
FLYING HANDICAP, six furlongsBlue and Black, 8.4, 1: Scottish Knight, 8.1, 2 j Winning Lass, 7.9, 3. It was a keen contest with an exciting finished. Won by a nose. Time, lmin 17$sec.
KAWAKAWA CUP, one mile and n quarter.—Mountain Gold, 8.4, 1; Glucian, 9,2: Slow Coach, 7, 3. Also started— Penona B.G. It was a tight finish, heads dividing tho placed horses. Time, 2min 13sec
