The fogs and rainstorms off Newfoundland have subsided, and drying westerly winds, accompanied bv a. rising barometer, promise an early start for tho transatlantic flight. United States naval seaplanes will shortly attempt the flight. They will have the guidance of sixty destroyers, which will show searchlights every fifty miles.
