Rome messages indicate that the Italians are regretting their precipitate withdrawal from the Conference, and are awaiting an opportunity to return without appearing ridiculous. Probably the Council of Three will urge them to return before the treaty is handed to the Germans. PARIS, May 7. Signor Orlando and Baron Sonnino have arrived. A settlement is imminent, as President Wilson is receding from his previous*position. DISCUSSION OF TERMS. LONDON, May 3. Herr Scheidemann has Informed the Peace Committee of the Berlin Assembly that it is impossible for tho Committee to begin a detailed discussion of tho terms until the Treaty is translated, which-will -be about Thursday (to-day). - ■ -
