INFLUENZA
POSITION IN DOMINION THIRTY-NINE CASES REPORTED IN FOUR DAYS. During the four days from the lat to the sth instant, thirty-nine cases of influenza were reported in the Dominion. ■"Trr the Auckland health district there were eight cases, all mild. In the AVellington district. 'here were thirteen cases. One pneumonia, case was reported from New Plymouth and one from Eltbam. ■ ' The Canterbury district reported eighteen cases. In Christ church and suburbs there were, four pneumonia and seven mild cases. In 'Timaru there were three severe cases and one mild. '
There were no cases in Otago. There have been three deaths from influenza lately,' as follows; — At Pahiaitua Hospital one on April arth. . At Marton one on May Ist. At Spreydon one on May Ist.
