It has been decided in connection with the statistics of ■ manufacturers and workexw, which are now to be taken annually, to obtain,, some particulars as to rates of wages. .and state of, unemployment in the various industries. The, Minister for Internal Affairs (Hon. G. W. Russell) stated yesterday that the new forms would make provision for matter which would be of great value in view of the attention likely to be given to rates df wages, earnings and unemployment in the neap future/ Speaking generally, the Minister added, the forms would he modelled on the lines of those in use in Australia.
