Present indications (5 p.m. yesterday) are for variable breezes, south-east changing by cast to north northwards of Farewell Spit and Kaikonra, and northeriies to westerlies elsewhere. Weather fair to cloudy generally, barometer little movement at present, but a falling tendency shorty. (Summary on last page.'
