RESIGNING LONDON POSITION. There'has been: talk for some time that Mr T. -H. Hamer contemplates resigning ' from his London position in Now Zealand’s service, ana- returning to tins country- • - -■ , - Yesterday the Minister for Internal Affairs (the lion. G; W. 'Russell) announced that Air Hamer, who has been auditor in the High- Commissioner’s office for; seme years, is resigning as from December aifrt of this year, and is to be! given six months' leave of absence according to the regulations. Mr Hamer will, therefore, vacate office, and a temporary appointment will bo mad© bythe Controller and Auditor-General until the end of the yotirj permanent appointiueut will be made.
