At Addington market there was a very large entry of fat sheep, and more <,attlr were offered, but the yardings in othei departments were generally smaller tl.an the previous week. There was a rathei better tone' in the store sheep market, and wethers especially sold better. Fat lambs were a little firmer, but fat cattle. whlclv wero mostly of medium quality. were much easier, though anything reallj .prime sold well up to late rates. ' .The fat sheep -market opened at about tinprevious week's prices, but soon eased off and became irregular, and towards (Lt end a number of lots were passed in. The prices were down from Is to 2s pel Head, and in some pa6es more. Therr was poor sale for store cattle, and dealers came down in consequenoe of a heavy supply and the cheaper beef market. Fat pigs sold -well, but stores were slow of sale.

The thirty-first annual meeSng of the Wollinirton Opera House Co., Ltd., was held yesterday. The retiring directors, Messrs S. Gilmer and J. H. Flockton, were re-elected, as also were the auditors, Mr W. C. Stephens and Mr El Buchloz. A further" dividendof throe percent., making six per cent., for 'the year was decided on. . The chairman of directors, Mr W. H. P. Barber, addressing tho meeting, said hat the company's small margin was due' to the exceptional conditions arising out of the war. AUCKLAND, May 7. The salo of the plant and property at Waihi of the Waihi Extended Cpmpany to the Waihi Grand Junction Company was confirmed at a meeting yesterday. The purchase price is .£6700 net.
