CATHOLIC MISSION
AT ST. JOSEPH'S, BUCKLE STREET.
The Marist Missionaries, Kev». Fathers Ainsworth and McCarthy, S.M., ore conducting a Cathode Mission at St. Joseph's Church, .Buckle street. At each of the Masses ana the evening devotions the church has been crowded. The eloquent sermons preached by the missioners aro moss convincing and, instructive, and it is most encouraging to them and tho priests of the parish that the people have attended m such large numbers. The number of worshippers who have approached Holy Communion since the commencement of the mission is over 7000. Last. night the Kev. Father McCarthy's discourse was the "Bacred Heart,'' which lie dealt with in ail earnestness. He asked the ptopls to pray that they may ever preserve tlie piety that they had shown during the holy time of the mission. Mass is celebrated each morning at 6 and 7 and 9 o'clock, with special instructions, and evening devptipns at 7.30 o'clock. To-night the sermon will be preached by ' tho Rev. Father Ainsworth, , S.il. The. mission, dosses at the end of tin* week.
