LONDON, May 5. General Ironside reports that .tho Bolshevik bombardment of Vaga cabled on the 3rd inst. lasted several hours.-Dug-outs withstood the shelling and Pirotected tha infantry; well. The enemy, assembled under cover of the woods, were speedily dispersed when they advanced in the open. One party of Bolsheviks attempted to get round the British flank, but the Russian infantry counter-attacked and defeated the enemy. The principal motive of Mannerheim's advance is to force a favourable solution of tho Finnish question, hoping to compel tins" Bolsheviks to 'corf cedo the demands" before a' Bolshevik' debacle complicates the problem.,
