FURTHER DISTURBANCES VOLUNTEER- WORKERS ATTACKED. RETURNED SOLDIERS TAKE A •HAND. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright FREMANTLE, May 6. There has been further rioting on the wharves. When several volunteer workers were leaving, a crowd of strikers and women attacked and severely dealt with them. Later in the day a large force' of returned soldiers marched through the streets and requested shopkeepers not to serve the police with provisions. Towards evening a policeman was attacked by returned soldiers and badly injured. Other police came to his ass'stunc and ifier firing several shots drove the rioters off. Several" of the police were injured. Reports received later indicate that the soldiers are organising an attack on the police station. A meeting of railway workers decided to support the lumperp in every way.

INTERNATIONAL TROUBLE MAY , RESULT.

The secretary of the Transport Workers' Federation states that unless a settlement of the Fremantle dispute is arranged, that which the federation is most anxious to avoid will be forced upon it.
