From Our Own Correspondent. MASTERTON, May o. For the eighteen seats on the general committee of the Wairarapa P. and A. Society, the following twentyone nominations have been received: Messrs W. R. Allen, A. E. Anderson, W. H. Booth, T. V. Oaverhill, G. Campbell, A. Clark, 8. W. Feast, \V. D. Fisher, W. A. Hart, J. Harp, T. O. Huycook, W. M. Jury, J. ■G. McDonald, P, M. J. Oates, O. Reid, ’ 0. L. Reynolds, F. M. Reynolds, W. H. ■Robioson, B. R. Sayer, J, Standen, and, G. E. Yule. Air James- Hcddor has peon nominated for the presidency, and Messrs G. E. Allen and J. • G. Oates for the vice-presidency. Air James Stone, who died in tho Mnsterton Hospital on Saturday, at the -ago of eighty-four years, was born in England, and came to New Zealand in 1875. Until he retired ho was the proprietor of the Waipoua Nursery, and also engaged in farming in the Pongaroa district. He loaves a family of two sons and four daughters. The anniversary services in connection with the Eansdowne Presbyterian Sunday ’ School were held yesterday. Th e Red Star Football Club will hold its first re-union since the war on Thursday evening.
