DEATH FROM BURNS
Mr AAL G. Riddell, S.M., held an inqu'esc yesterday regarding tiro death of Charlotte Grant, a single woman, oi fifty-sis, at the hospital on October 18th. On the evening of October 10th (as it appeared from the evidence), Miss Grant retired to her room, and some time later her niece saw her rush out of her bedroom with her clothes in flames, and she was screaming. The members of the present extinguished the flames, and did all they could to ease her suffering. Dr Line was called in, and ordered nor removal to the hospital. . AVhile in hospital deceased admitted that she Ws in the habit of reading in bed, and on the night in question she was reading by candle-light, and fell asleep” The next thing she knew was that she was on fire. The coroner returned a verdict that death was due to shock following upon injuries accidentally received through the deceased's clothing catching fire.
