THE CAUSE OF INDIGESTION. Much valuabls information may he gleaned from a somewhat lengthy medical report just published. For instance, it is made clear that more than 90 per sent, of all eases of indigestion, dyspepsia-, etc., arc due to the present'd of acid in the stomach, and phrsicians agree that when this fact in realised by the public they will ho called upon to treat, very few eases of stomach trouble, and the cause of the trouble—tho acid in the stomach—may readily be overcome with their aid. An effective preURwation for this purpose t* said to bo bisurated magne-sia, and they advise those who are troubled with almost any form of digestive trouble to obtain a small quantity of this product from their, chemist, and take half-a-teaspoon-ful in a little water after meals, as this will prevent fermentation and neutralise any acid which mar be formed, thus rendering the food easy of digestion. Certainly this plan seems preferable to dosing the stomach with drugs.-'
