WATERSIDERS’ MEETING

About 350 members of the 'Wellington Waterside Workers’ Union attended a general meeting of that body in X store waiting-room last evening. Mr L. Glover, president, occupied the chair. Mr Glover was appointed official representative to attend the Labour Day sports. A cash donation was voted for the sports. The newwar regulation affecting the employment of aliens for working ships’ cargo -were explained and discussed. Of 1400 members of the union about 120 come within the scope of the new regulations.
