FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION
ARRANGEMENTS FOR, TOURNAMENT. The management committee of the Football Association met last night, there being present: Messrs A. E. Weils (chairman,!, \V. Auld, C. Webster, it -dill, F. U'Dnscoll, A- Williams. A letter was received from the score tary of the Sapors’ Society thanking tho Association for placing a ground at tho disposal of tho society lo play a match with the Amokura boys. It was decided to play the linal of the schools’ championship at Association Park at ll.Ju to-day. The teams competing will be Fotirua and Marist (Thermion). Mr F. Ross will have charge of the whistle. All the arrangements for tho annual social have been completed, which will take the form of a smoke concert, to bo hold, in (he Now Century iiall on Thursday, November Ist. •Tho six-a-side tournament, to be held at. Association Fark on Saturday, is ejected to be highly successful, and it only needs good weather to make it such. The games will be seven minutes each, way, with one minute spell. There will be no off-sido play; goal-keepers will not bo permitted to handle tho ball outside Hie goal area., and corner kicks will count as points ip the event of a draw or no scoring. All other' rules of the Association will apply to tho matches. All teams will be required to be in attendance at the ground at 1.45. Teams not prepared to go on to time will be liable to forfeit the match. All the following referees are urgent, ly requested to attend:—V. Astill. It. Aitchison, C. Ballard, J. Dully. J.'
