ASSAULT ON REV. ELLIOTT
ACCUSED REMANDED FOR A WEEK. Press Association. AUCKLAND, October 16. At tho Police Court this jjiorning Gunner Charles Clements and Herbert MoEntoo were charged with having assaulted .Howard Elliott by striking him with a. stick. The court was crowded, and there was hooting and cheering when the accused were called. Tho magistrate ordered tho court to be cleared. Counsel for accused asked for an adjournment to obtain evidence from Wellington. The court granted a remand for one week.
