SOLDIERS’ WEEK-END LEAVE
(To the Editor, “N.Z. Times.”) Sir,—Could you, per medium of your columns, tell mu why it is that our AVairarapa boys who are in camp at Trcntiiam cannot got week-end leave to see their people who reside in the Wairarapa? 1 was talking to some of them, and although they have good business and family reasons, they_ fail lo get the necessary leavq even if it is put in as special. I believe they had the same trouble while m Featherston. They might miss half-a-uay’s drill on .Monday, but what about the boys wlio come from Featherston to AVcllington ? They miss it just the same. lam sure they would all look forward to getting home each weekend, and would pul more energy in their work during the week. Hoping that some abler pen than mino will add to this, and may tho boys get their nocessarv week-end leave.—Tours, etc., ‘ R. A. ROULSTON. . Lansdowne, Masterton.
