Battle Eve fell away at the half-mile, and Redowa had a lead from Daytime and Sodd-el-Eafir. Rose Pink fell back, and Redowa led into the straight, where she was challenged by Comely on the rails, and, Daytime on the outside, with Thaddeus coming fast from behind. Comely ran homo a winner by two lengths, Thaddeus being half a length behind Daytime. Time, Imin 52seo. The race was spoilt from the start. Caverock and Plastic secured the advantage by about throe lengths from Irish Briar, and Preface was about a length further back. away, the field being in close order for the first furlong. Tip Up and Tyne v ere leading at the bottom of the stretch. Then Thostius and Samisen had charge bv two lengths, Kilboyr.e being blocked. Th.c-.sti us led into the straight, but at the distance Tip Up challenged, and Kil'boyno coming through won after a great finish by a lu-ad. (inland was ba.f a length awav third. Gray)-.- 2 I — Glendower, B.S (Campbell) 3 Also started—3 Lion 7.11, 5 Marsinah 7.9, 6 Quirinus 7.71 Ogier was first to show in front from Awahou and Marsinah. Quirinus being in the rear of a close field. Ogier led to the distance, when Awahou came through on the rails and won nicely by a length. Glendower was only a head away third. Time, Imin 52 l-ssec. CLARENDON HANDICAP, Of ICO soys,: six furlongs. 2—Borodino, 8.8 (A. Wilson) 1 ll Eosevrar. 8.10 (Olsen) 1 G—Helicon, 8.10 (Anderton) 1 tDoad heat. Also started—s St. Hilary 9.3, 4 Benefit 8.13, 3 Nautical 8.8, 9 Lawsuit 8, 8 Winning Form 8, 7 All Pink 8. Itosovoar was first away, with Neutical. Helicon, and Borodino handy. Krlicon took charge below the distance, where Borodino came with a good run on trie outside and wo nrasily by three lengths. Time Imin 23sec.
