Orleans got the worst of the start, being left by nearly half a dozen lengths. Goldstream, Johnny Walker, Lady Louisa, and multiply were prominent early in the race. Orleans gradually made up the lost ground and -the field was well bunched coming down the straight. Lady Louisa, Paraoa, Orleans, Cleft, and Multifnal caught the eye, and then the contest narrowed down to a great struggle between Lady Louisa, Orleans, and Paraoa. In a slashing finish Corlett landed his mount ■past the post a short neck in front of Orleans, Paraoa being a head away. Time. 2min 3 3-ssoo. Winner trained by F. J. Oarmont. RAILWAY HACK.
