Small arrivals of Danish are selling at 41Gs per cwt. No official announcement has been made regarding the purchase of the Australian surplus, and there ia some uncertainty as to whether it has been qom■pleted. , Wheat—No cargoes are offering. Small sales have been made of Australian, ex quay, at 71s 6d. Flour —The market is very firm, - the demand greatly exceeding the offerings. Oats, peas, and beans —The markets are quiet, but steady. Sugar—Prices are unchanged. PRICES OF METALS. Copper—Standard, for cash, .£llO 5s per ton. Tin—Straits, for cash, .£245 17s Gd * por ton; forward delivery, .£243 2s 6d., Lead —Soft foreign, for cash, 2930 10s per ton; forward delivery, £29 10s. Dalgety and Co., Ltd. ■At Levin on Tuesday we offered a largo yarding of sheep and a fair one of cattle. Buyers were present in force from outside districts and competition was animated, good prices being obtained for- all stock offering and a total clearance being made under the hammer The bulk of the sheep entry consisted of 1800 hoggets offered on account of the McDonald Estate, These fetched 33s for a line of 950; 400 at 31s Id; 350 at 30s 7d. Other priees_ were:—Fat wethers 425, m.s. hoggets 27s 4d to 27s 9d, cull hoggets 18s to 22s 6d, 3-year Steers £l3 15s, store cows to £7 4s, yearling heifers to £4 ss, springing heifers to £9 7s 6d. \ At Waikanae on Thursday a small entry of sheep and cattle were offered. Quotations:— Light fat ewes and wethers 35s lid, cull hoggets to 235, 2-year Shorthorn bull £2O 10s. WELLINGTON CUSTOMS. The Customs revenue received at Wellington yesterday totalled £923 16s sd.
