The curtain will be rung do urn on Ruchy football for the present season at ° Athletic Park this Saturday. What should be one of the finest games witnessed this season is to take place between Old Boys and Pet-one. This is a special challenge game, Old Boys being under the impression that they can defeat Petone. Both teams have been training consistently, and a good open game is promised. The different unions througliout New Zealand have been suggesting alterations in the .present rules, to make the game more spectacular from the public standpoint, but the game to-day, being played by the two top teams in the city, will bear out the contention that tho rules as they now stand, if administered correctly, will give the public no cause to complain.
