CITIZENS’ CHRISTMAS GIFT FUND
A meeting of the general committee concerning the citizens* Christmas gift fund was held last evening in the Town Hall. There were present—Messrs C. G. Wilson (chairman), Ur W. Shailcrass, G. S. Hill, A. Campbell, H. McKeoven, A« Davies, li. 13. Grange, G. Julius, A. Hogg, B. Guise. A. J. Bloxarn. It was stated that the amount, in hand totalled c£o!s. The secretary had sent out 4000 circulars for the great appeal, and it was hoped that those would help to bring in more money. Mr Bloxam drew attention to the fact that more gallery tickets were needed. The ladies, he reported, had very •satisfactorily cut down the cost of refreshments to a bare minimum. Thr> Trent ham Camp Band is to provide the music for the forthcoming pageant. Mr Hill, of the sports’ committee. reported that the various bodies that had been approached were working to make the affair a success.
