THE KAUANGAROA TRAGEDY

VERDICT OF WILFUL MURDER AGAINST BEiNNIER. Press Association. WANGANUI, October 11. An inqnest on Mrs Bennier, the victim' of the Kanangaroa tragedy, was held to-day. The coroner returned a verdict ’of wilful murder against the husband, Frank Bennier. The evidence showed that the accused, in the early hours of the morning, attacked four men and two women with an axe. All were seriously injured, Mrs Bennier succumbing. Bennier will be brought before the Court in the morning.
